step 4: the process: ::development::
Also referred to as production. Once the design, content, and navigation of the site have been determined, the Development stage begins. This is where the "back end" or "coding" of the site joins-up with the front-end, or user-interface.
Integration: When Google sends its spiders out into cyberspace, websites that contain clean code, relevant content, and key search terms get noticed. Integrating each element from the design phase while keeping these guidelines in mind is critical for a successful website.
Testing: Once the website is completed and ready to "go live" it's tested for:
- How quickly the site loads - slow-loaders lose impatient visitors
- Compatibility: Browser, Operating System, Screen Size and Resolution
- Compliance with internet standards
- Copy Edits
- Photos: edits, often pertaining to size, clarity and color accuracy for the web
