Strategic method to the madness...
step 4: the process: ::design::
The first stage of the process is the most critical for setting in place the campaign's direction. Loosely named the "design phase", this phase is composed of four key steps:
Blue printing: skeleton mapping of the entire website, with specific focus on navigation functionality, marketing directives, and the timed integration of future phases.
Look and feel: a loose template is designed early on to serve as a visual foundation upon which to make additions and adjustments as needed throughout the design phase.
Navigation: during the design of navigation, the site visually starts coming to life. Options may include placement for navigation buttons, elements of change like rollovers or drop-down menus, and even graphic animation.
Copy Writing: once the design and functionality of the website has been determined, the copy writing phase begins. All copy is strategically placed and written throughout the website with a specific market focus. You don't want anyone getting lost in your website unless it's intended.
